Cryptic messages and CM Punk truly do go hand in hand. I have reported multiple times that I thought CM Punk was messing with everyone when he would give really non-telling answers to Tweets that fans had sent him. The guy is just that good in slight of hand movement when it comes to his career and what he’s going to do next. We already have some more cryptic messages out from CM Punk, but this time, it’s really bigger than ever….
CM Punk recently helped to call an MMA fight as the co-commentator that he was with started making some “inside jokes” and then Punk followed: “….returning to his wrestling, know what I’m saying, Punk? Returning to his wrestling.”
Punk then followed up this tease with: “Yeah, he’s looking all elite right now.”
Punk’s partner then states the following as it pertains to what was currently happening in the octagon: “Postures up! Elbows down! Inside jokes being thrown all over the place!” Punk then calmly said (in typical fashion): “….Gotta watch out for those inside jokes.”
This is a tough call. We recently had word that Punk had indeed signed an AEW contract, but the “inside jokes” comment has many worried that maybe Punk is staying out of AEW. We will have to see what’s next.
