WWE RAW star Liv Morgan was brutally assaulted by WWE RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch suffered an embarrassing botch on this week’s edition of Monday Night RAW. It has been officially announced by WWE that Morgan has suffered injuries in the storyline.
Liv Morgan sustains injury after Becky Lynch’s merciless attack
The company revealed on Raw Talk that Morgan has a deep bone bruise and strained RCL in her left arm. The injuries came from a fight with Becky Lynch on last night’s Raw after their title match for Day 1 was made official, though this could jeopardize it.
Becky threw Liv into the steel ring steps, causing the injury. The fans are wondering how their scheduled title match will go down if Morgan is injured. Morgan and Lynch are set to square off for the Raw Women’s Title at Day 1. WWE shared the news on their official Twitter account.
“As revealed on #RAWTalk, @YaOnlyLivvOnce has a deep bone bruise and a strained radial collateral ligament in her left arm.”
Becky Lynch defended her title against Morgan on last week’s episode of Raw. Becky held Liv’s tights when she got the victory. Therefore, the storyline is that Liv was given another shot since Becky’s win was illegitimate.
Vince Russo reflects on potential Championship run of Liv Morgan
Former WWE head writer Vince Russo recently discussed whether or not Liv Morgan as the top women’s champion would attract more interest toward Monday Night RAW. Speaking on Legion of RAW, Russo outlined the talking points from this week’s episode of the red brand.
He believes Morgan is not ready for the top spot, but the booking has pushed her into a corner. The former WWE writer detailed that if Morgan lost to Becky Lynch again, she would be buried on a roster stacked with talented women such as Bianca Belair and Rhea Ripley.
Here’s what Russo had to say about Liv Morgan’s potential WWE future:
“It needs to be superstar stature. That’s how you always look at it. Is Liv Morgan going to be on the talk show circuit? To me, here’s the bottom line. Somebody is going to suggest that they put her over and then if they do put her over, in three weeks they’re going to say she wasn’t ready for the spot. She’s not ready for the spot. But the problem is you’ve put her in a position now where if she doesn’t beat her [Becky Lynch], then what? Is she going to do more vignettes in a bathtub?”
