Steve Austin could be involved in a match at WrestleMania 38

WrestleMania 38 will be taking place in Dallas, Texas this year and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin is expected to be there. The Bionic Redneck has already been used for WrestleMania commercials, but it seems the company has bigger plans for him as well.

As reported earlier, WWE is discussing a WrestleMania 38 match for Steve Austin. According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE is currently working under the assumption that Steve Austin could go up against the former WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 38. It was also said to be a done deal at this point in time.

“The impression I have is the match is on. I know that backstage at WWE all day, that’s all I kept hearing about. Not ‘all’ I kept hearing about, but, I heard it early in the day and then kept checking around and more people were saying they heard the same thing. I don’t know that it’s a done deal, but people were talking like it was.

Like I said, I was not told that it was a done deal, but people were under the assumption that it was, and that promo clearly tells you that they are booking with the idea that it is happening.”

Kevin Owens also cut a promo where he mocked Texas, which might be an indication of their potential match at WrestleMania 38. We will see if that match takes place. WrestleMania 38 is scheduled to be held as a two-night event, taking place on April 2 and 3, 2022, at the AT&T Stadium in the Dallas suburb of Arlington, Texas.
