Vince McMahon was the CEO of WWE before he had to step down following allegations of sexual misconduct and allegedly having paid $12 million in hush money in a huge scandal. He eventually retired from WWE for good and was replaced by his daughter Stephanie McMahon as the CEO of WWE. His son-in-law Triple H is now the Executive Vice President of Talent and Relations as well.
It was recently announced that there will be changes to the WWE RAW and Smackdown commentary teams starting with the 2022 “season premiere” episodes. Jimmy Smith announced that he will no longer be part of the Monday Night RAW commentary team and will be replaced by Kevin Patrick.
“Just wanted to say, now that the story is officially out, that my time with the WWE is officially done. Had a lot of fun and met some great people. Really and truly blown away by the acceptance from the WWE fans! You folks make it work every week and your enthusiasm was amazing!”
WWE Hall of Famer Jeff Jarrett responded to Smith as well.
“You are super talented! High energy, engaging, and authentic. Looking forward to your next stop!”
We will have to see how the changes will affect WWE.
