MMA fighters Mike Jackson and Jake Shields recently had an encounter at the UFC’s Performance Institute. It seems that Jackson and Shields had some prior ‘beef’. In the viral video, Shields was seen slapping Jackson. ‘The Truth’ pleaded with bystanders to intervene, leading to the altercation de-escalating. However, the 37-year-old UFC fighter recently opened up about his side of the story about the brawl.
While speaking with MMA Junkie, Jackson stated that Shields was hurling abuse at him in the lead-up to the physical clash:
“So, I’m looking at Jake [Shields] and he’s like, ‘Ah it’s this piece of s**t racist Mike Jackson.’ Now, the majority of everything he says, because I’m not gonna keep repeating what he said, the summation of everything he said from the time he walked up to the time I left, all he did was say, ‘Mike Jackson you’re a piece of s**t racist, fight me.'”
Mike Jackson has decided to press charges
Mike Jackson is pressing charges against Jake Shields after an altercation at the UFC Performance Institute. ‘The Truth’ had this to say when asked if he was pressing charges:
“Yeah, well, I’m gonna follow up with the PI. I told them, ‘Hey, press charges.’ They said ok… You can’t just walk around assaulting people and think there’s no consequences for your actions. You can’t do that. You know what I’m saying? And all the people who support him, cool, support him. These people don’t matter either.”
