Conor McGregor has been out of action for exactly 535 days to this day as he recovers from a leg injury he sustained in his match against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. It has been noted that Sean O’Malley recently expressed that he’s longing to witness ‘The Notorious’ perform under bright lights.
On a recent episode of TimboSugarShow, Sean O’Malley stated:
“I watched Conor blow up and that’s kind of like what I wanted….I wanted to come and take over the sport and then Conor did it. Dude, I miss Conor.”
He added:
“That motherf**ker took the sport to a new level. You feel different when he walks out, when it’s his press conference, at the weigh-ins….Everything is different.”
The Irishman is currently out of the USADA testing pool. McGregor must undergo six months of drug testing and provide at least two negative samples to get back in the cage. McGregor has typically taken pride in the fact that he has many competitive alternatives available to him whenever he chooses to return. Sean O’Malley commented, in reference to the alternatives available on his YouTube channel:
“[Michael] Chandler, [Justin] Gaethje…. I’d f**king watch him fight Islam [Makhachev]… Charles [Oilveira]…. any of those guys.”
