Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene has sent out a warning for former President Donald Trump, saying not to hire Laura Loomer.
Former President Donald Trump’s arrest in New York this week attracted commentary from across the world of entertainment, with many reacting to the 34 felony charges the former president now faces.
The controversy sparked around the hush money payment that Cohen admitted that he made to Stormy Daniels during the fall of Trump’s 2016 White House bid to keep her from coming forward about an alleged affair she had with the then-candidate. Trump has denied the affair. Previously, TMZ reported that Daniels was experiencing the impact of Trump’s potential impending arrest and reportedly strengthening her security after receiving multiple threats.
Loomer accused the Georgia Republican in a series of Telegram posts last year of conspiring with her former office intern, Milo Yiannopoulos, to purposely sabotage Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign. Greene later responded on the app, saying that Loomer was “obsessed” with her and rebuking the claims.
Greene wrote the following on Twitter:
“Laura Loomer is mentally unstable and a documented liar. She can not be trusted. She spent months lying about me and attacking me just because I supported Kevin McCarthy for Speaker and after I had refused to endorse her last election cycle. She loves the alleged FBI informant and weirdo Nick Fuentes. She tried to get hired on the Ye campaign after the infamous Maralago dinner, but Kanye West refused to hire her so now she’s running to Trump. Never hire or do business with a liar. Liars are toxic and poisonous to everything they touch. I’ll make sure he knows.”
Following a New York Times report that detailed the former president’s interest in finding a campaign role for Loomer — a former GOP congressional candidate and conspiracy theorist who has made racist remarks in the past — Greene (R-Ga.) publicly discouraged Trump from hiring her. The Georgian called Loomer, who twice ran for a seat in Florida, “mentally unstable and a documented liar.”
“I’ll make sure he knows,” she tweeted, referring to Trump.
