WWE Hall of Famer “Superstar” Billy Graham was a major force in the industry during his prime. His unforgettable rivalry with Bruno Sammartino for the WWWF Heavyweight Championship is still regarded as one of the most iconic moments in wrestling history. However, his fans have been expressing concern for his well-being for quite some time now.
The admin of Billy Graham’s Facebook page shared that his wife had informed them that he was suffering from a severe infection in his ears that had spread to the bones. This news sent fans into a frenzy, as they feared the worst for their beloved Superstar.
Billy Graham has faced several health challenges throughout his life, resulting in multiple hospitalizations. Despite these setbacks, his fans have remained unwavering in their support for him. However, the situation for Graham has only worsened over time. Recently, Graham himself shared an update on his condition.
According to the admin of his official Facebook page, Billy Graham has been in and out of hospitals for the past four months and has lost 80 pounds so far. He is currently struggling with extreme weakness due to ongoing issues with his appetite. The Osteomyelitis infection in his ears, skull, and sinus cavity remains his biggest challenge. He is now on strong IV antibiotics three times a day to treat this infection, and the infectious disease doctor has informed him that he will need to continue taking them for at least three more months. As a result of this infection, Graham is currently completely deaf. His fans are praying that this is a temporary condition that will resolve as the infection is treated.
In addition to his ongoing battle with Osteomyelitis, Graham has also suffered intermittently from kidney issues and has had to undergo dialysis. He also has heart and lung concerns, sores from being bedridden for four months, and depression. The financial situation for Graham and his wife has become dire as insurance only covers a portion of his treatment costs. His rehab copay care is costing them $200 a day out of pocket. Unfortunately, both Graham and his wife contracted Covid two months ago, and Valerie, his wife, continues to struggle with Long Covid, which has forced her to extend her leave of absence. This has left them with no income, adding to the emotional strain of not being able to visit her husband due to Covid and the deep concern over his health and their financial difficulties.

It has now been four months since Wayne has not been home, he has either been at the rehab center, or in the hospital.
Due to ongoing issues from his lack of appetite he has now lost 80 pounds and subsequently continues to struggle with extreme weakness. The Osteomyelitis infection in his ears, skull and sinus cavity remains his greatest challenge. He’s on strong IV antibiotics 3 times a day to treat this and the infectious disease doctor says he will need to be on them for at least 3 more months. As a result of this infection, he is currently completely deaf. We’re praying this is temporary, and will resolve as the infection is treated. He has intermittently also suffered with kidney issues, and been on dialysis. This in addition to Billy having heart and lung concerns, sores from being in bed for 4 months and depression.
The financial situation has become dire as Insurance is only covering part of this treatment. His rehab copay care is costing $200 a day, out of pocket. Unfortunately, both Wayne, and his wife Valerie, contracted Covid 2 months ago. And unfortunately In Valerie’s case she continues to struggle with what is now Long Covid and as a result she has had to extend her LOA, consequently this has left them with absolutely no income. The emotional strain of not being able to visit her husband, due to Covid, along with the deep concern over his health as well as their financial difficulties is heart-wrenching and very stressful for them both.
