However, he was also a subject of controversy when he found himself at the end of the allegations. There have been multiple allegations against the Velveteen Dream.
He has been eyeing for a return to WWE. However, he once found himself in trouble which is connected to a drug case. With Triple H becoming the WWE Chief Content Officer, he has brought some former NXT stars back in the company.
But, in the case of Dream, it seems that the chances of former North American Champion returning looks narrow. It seems that WWE was very close to bringing him back last year.
Velveteen Dream unlikely to return
One fan tweeted out to BWE and asked, “how close was Velveteen Dream to returning to WWE last year before the new incidents?” It seems that there was a lot of talk about making that happen.
The proven WWE insider tweeted back to say, “So fkn close the og’s remember my tweets about before.”
Amid all the accusations, Triple H had said in August 2020 that WWE looked into the allegations and found nothing against him. We will have to see what the future holds for Dream.
