On Saturday evening, Donald Trump stopped by a UFC fight at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and was spotted talking to a number of other notable attendees, including Joe Rogan, Guy Fieri, Mark Wahlberg, and Mel Gibson. Jack White took to his Instagram to call out those who interacted with Trump at the event.
“Anybody who “normalizes” or treats this disgusting fascist, racist, con man, disgusting piece of shit Trump with any level of respect is ALSO disgusting in my book. That’s you Joe Rogan, you Mel Gibson, you Mark Wahlberg, you Guy Fieri. This is a statement from me, not a discussion/debate. -Jack White III”
White often uses his Instagram page for political statements. In the past year, he’s spoken up about gun control laws, abortion rights, and free speech.
Meanwhile, Trump is known to be friends with UFC president Dana White, who has supported the 77-year-old during his past campaigns. In a photo that emerged on social media, Trump was spotted with Mel Gibson and Roger Stone.
White walked Trump to his seat on Saturday night (8 July), before the main card began. The main event for UFC 290 is a featherweight title clash between Alexander Volkanovski and Yair Rodriguez.
Trump has attended numerous UFC events in the past, most notably for Nate Diaz’s fight with Jorge Masvidal in 2019, and most recently in April, when Israel Adesanya fought Alex Pereira in the main event.
At UFC 287, Trump sat with White and heavyweight boxing legend Mike Tyson. Masvidal fought that night and praised Trump during his post-defeat interview, while Kevin Holland jumped over the ring fence to speak to Trump earlier in the night.
