Andrew Tate, a self-proclaimed misogynist influencer, has been accused of exploiting and manipulating an alleged sex-trafficking victim, as revealed in leaked messages from 2021. These messages were posted in his all-male social platform and Telegram channel called the War Room, where Tate shared details of how he allegedly coerced a woman into engaging in sex work for him as reported by The New York Post.
In the messages, Tate boasted about recruiting the woman, who had moved to Bucharest, Romania, to be with him. He claimed to have convinced her to produce sexualized online content for him, despite her initial objections to sending explicit photos or participating in platforms like OnlyFans. Tate is alleged to have used manipulative tactics, including making her dependent on him emotionally and financially, to control her actions and keep her isolated from her hometown and loved ones.
According to the leaked messages, Tate admitted to falsely telling the woman that he was angry after learning she had supposedly worked at a sex club, using the lie to put her on the defensive and increase her reliance on him. He stated that his goal was for her to never leave him, ensuring she remained under his control.
In the leaked text exchange, Tate is alleged to have told the woman that she would never return to her hometown and that she didn’t need to leave the house in Bucharest because they would always be together. The woman responded affirmatively, saying she understood.
Since she moved [to Bucharest] she’s been fed. But nothing else.
She’s broke. And she can’t go home. And she can’t leave the house. Man, I sound almost evil. But I’m not. I’m a Shephard. Leading the sheep. She doesn’t realize that following me makes life better for her.”
Furthermore, Tate spoke generally about the characteristics he seeks in women, emphasizing blind loyalty as a significant trait.
It’s important to note that the woman referenced in the messages, among seven females detailed in the case against Tate by Romanian prosecutors, has repeatedly denied being one of his alleged victims. Tate, along with his brother and two Romanian women, has denied the sex trafficking allegations.
