Atlanta ‘Locks Down’ Court House For Trump Arrest

According to The Gateway Pundit, the Atlanta courthouse was placed under heightened security measures in anticipation of Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’ decision regarding potential charges against former President Donald Trump. The security measures included the presence of law enforcement officers and road closures around the courthouse. This development comes after a judge rejected Trump’s second attempt to halt Willis’ investigation into his actions surrounding the 2020 election in Georgia.

Reports suggest that Fani Willis is actively preparing to bring forth racketeering charges against Trump related to his efforts to challenge the 2020 election results in Georgia. The investigation reportedly focuses on a phone call between Trump and Georgia officials, which was later leaked to the Washington Post. The call raised concerns about the integrity of the election. Fani Willis is said to be considering charges of influencing witnesses and computer trespass, both of which are elements of racketeering statutes in Georgia.

”Law-enforcement officers surrounded the Fulton County courthouse on Monday in downtown Atlanta, Georgia, amid closed roads and traffic barriers put up to boost security ahead of a possible indictment of former U.S. President Donald Trump.’

The “influencing witnesses” charge could be connected to Trump’s phone call with Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, while the “computer trespass” charge might involve efforts to access Dominion Voting Systems machines in Coffee County. Despite the location being outside of Willis’ jurisdiction, the racketeering statute allows her to pursue charges related to activities that extend beyond her immediate purview.

Should the charges be brought forth, it would mark the fourth time that Trump has faced indictment. Special Counsel Jack Smith has already pursued federal charges against Trump, including 40 counts in Florida in a case related to classified documents and four counts in Washington DC in connection to the events of January 6. Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg also previously charged Trump with 34 felony counts linked to a payment made to adult film star Stormy Daniels.
