WWE Attitude Legend Needs Surgery After Stroke

WWE Hall of Famer Jerry Lawler is set to undergo a surgery.

The WWE legend recently made an appearance during a commercial break on the latest edition of Monday Night Raw that took place in his hometown, Memphis.

Lawler has been away from the public eye in recent months. He had been battling health complications in recent months. Back in February of this year, he suffered a stroke, his second after previously suffering one in 2018.

It has been noted that the last time Lawler made an appearance was when he was shown in a videotape at the WWE Hall of Fame, where he shared a brief message celebrating Andy Kaufman who was inducted that night.

His health issues date back to 2012 when ‘The King’ suffered a heart attack during a live episode of WWE Raw. He eventually recovered and continued as a color commentator on and off until 2019. He had been part of WWE pre-show panels as well.

While speaking on his Grilling JR podcast, AEW veteran commentator Jim Ross stated that he spoke to Lawler this week and revealed that Lawler will be requiring knee replacement surgery.

“Lawler was feeling better, we talked about doing some autograph shows together, a little tour, I think that’s going to happen. The two of us. That combination, not sounding egocentric, there are a lot of good announcers and a lot of announcers doing their best work, which is great. I can hear some of my phraseology in everybody, certain phrases. Talking to Jerry was great and I think we would do really well in the autograph world. If we can get Lawler healthy with prayers and good wishes. I know he has to get his knee replaced, I don’t know when that’s going to be.”
