John Cena, the wrestling icon, is dropping hints about his future with WWE, suggesting that his retirement could be on the horizon, though not imminent. While he continues to be involved in acting and entrepreneurial pursuits, Cena reassured his fans that he will continue to make appearances in the WWE for the time being.

Despite transitioning to part-time involvement in WWE due to his commitments in Hollywood and other ventures, Cena made a recent appearance on WWE Smackdown, where he discussed his age-related limitations and expressed gratitude for the unwavering support from both fans and the organization.

“As I said out there in the ring, the last one is not tonight, but I know it’s soon,” Cena mentioned during a backstage interview. “Every single chance I get to go out there becomes more and more special. There is no denying the fact that I’m 46 and staring down 47. I’ve been here for over two decades. To speak candidly, when you’re involved in this every day in a full-time capacity, you just think about what’s next.”

Cena went on to emphasize the significance of his current WWE appearances and the heartfelt connection he maintains with the WWE Universe. He recognized the generosity of WWE fans for inviting him back into the fold and allowing him to be part of the wrestling family.

“The WWE Universe being gracious to invite me and allow me back to be part of this family, for the last two or three years, I’ve been able to focus on what’s now,” Cena reflected. “I never miss any of those wonderful moments in the ring. I know it may sound repetitive, but so is me saying ‘Never give up,’ and I never mind saying that, so I never mind saying ‘thank you’ to the people that make this special. Without them and them caring, I don’t get to come back.”

In addition to his sporadic WWE appearances, John Cena has ventured into the world of entertainment, with notable roles such as playing a merman in the Barbie film alongside Margot Robbie and reprising his role as Peacemaker in the HBO Max series of the same name. He has also lent his voice to the character Rocksteady in the animated film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem.
