Trump Drops Fani Willis ‘Killing’ Bombshell

Some Republicans in Washington and Georgia began attacking Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis immediately after she announced the Aug. 14 indictment of former President Donald Trump for conspiring to overturn the 2020 presidential election results. But others, including Gov. Brian Kemp, have been conspicuous in their unwillingness to pile on.

Trump stated on Truth Social that walking the streets in the city of Atlanta and Fulton County, Georgia, where he was indicted over alleged 2020 presidential election-related crimes, “is a death sentence.”

“Has anyone checked the background of [Fulton County District Attorney] Fani Willis, who lets Murderers go free to roam the streets of Atlanta and KILL, but wastes time, energy, and money on LETS [sic] GET TRUMP, who has done NOTHING wrong. RINO [Georgia] Governor Brian Kemp has lost control of violent crime in Atlanta, and Fulton County as a whole,” Trump wrote.

“It has NEVER been worse, yet he wants to protect this incompetent prosecutor. Number 1 in violence per capita in U.S. Sad days for the Great State of Georgia!” the Republican presidential hopeful noted.

Trump pleaded not guilty on Thursday to charges brought against him by the Georgian authorities, in relation to the 2020 elections obstruction.

“I do hereby freely and voluntarily waive my right to be present at my arraignment on the Indictment and my right to have it read to me in open court. As evidenced by my signature, I do hereby waive formal arraignment and enter my plea of NOT GUILTY to the Indictment in this case,” it was written in a court filing Trump signed.

Last week, Trump was booked at the Fulton County jail, after which he was released on bail. He insisted that he “did nothing wrong” and had “every single right to challenge” an election he believed to be “dishonest.”
