Huckabee began by drawing parallels between the tactics used by political opponents in Third World dictatorships, banana republics, and communist regimes to discredit and neutralize their adversaries. He suggested that these tactics involve using police agencies to arrest opponents on fabricated charges, with the goal of discrediting, bankrupting, imprisoning, exiling, or otherwise undermining them.
Huckabee then shifted the focus to Joe Biden’s presidency, alleging that Biden is employing similar tactics to prevent Donald Trump from becoming his opponent in the 2024 election. Huckabee expressed concern that if these tactics succeed in keeping Trump from running or winning in 2024, it could mark a turning point, with the implication being that future elections might not be decided through the democratic process but through violence or other means.
The people in power use their police agencies to arrest their opponents for made up crimes in an attempt to discredit them, bankrupt them, imprison them, exile them, or all of the above. And if you’re not paying attention, you may not realize that Joe Biden is using exactly those tactics to make sure that Donald Trump is not his opponent in 2024. Here’s the problem: If these tactics end up working to keep Trump from winning or even running in 2024, it is going to be the last American election that will be decided by ballots rather than bullets.
