Donald Trump Jr. took to Twitter and uploaded a photo of his father and Melania Trump in light of the 9/11 attacks.

Mark Levin, a prominent Republican commentator and host of a Fox News show, used his Sunday opening monologue to criticize Judge Tanya Chutkan, who is overseeing Donald Trump’s January 6th case in Washington, D.C. Levin demanded that Judge Chutkan “step down” from the case, alleging bias and accusing her of attempting to harm Trump’s political prospects.

In his monologue via Mediaite, Levin argued that the Department of Justice is oppressing political opponents of President Joe Biden and that Trump faces multiple charges related to his alleged efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election. He focused on Judge Chutkan’s decision to set the trial date for March 4th and accused her of bias against Trump.

Levin claimed that Judge Chutkan scheduled the trial before Super Tuesday, a significant date in the GOP primary, to enable Trump’s opponents to argue that he cannot run for office due to a felony conviction.

Levin told his Fox News audience, “She wants Donald Trump branded as a convicted felon, so reprobates and opportunists like Chris Christie can run around… say Donald Trump can’t run for president. He’s too busy defending himself in the court, which is exactly why past attorneys general said you’re not supposed to do that.”

He went on to say that Judge Chutkan is not fit to preside over the case and accused her of creating a “diabolical situation” by setting the trial date. Levin claimed that Judge Chutkan had already coordinated with the judge in the Manhattan case and had made up her mind to choose March 4th.

Levin argued that setting the trial date for March 4th would violate Trump’s Sixth Amendment right to a fair trial and called for Judge Chutkan to either resign or be removed from the case.

He concluded by saying, “Judge Chutkan, you need to step down. And somebody who has the authority like the chief judge or the D.C. bar, if she doesn’t step down on her own, then you did tell her to step aside. This is worse than the appearance of a conflict. This is a conflict, a grotesque conflict.”

Levin’s comments reflect the ongoing political polarization and debates surrounding Trump’s legal issues and the January 6th Capitol riot investigation.
