Roman Reigns, one of WWE’s top superstars, is currently not advertised for the upcoming Royal Rumble event in January 2024, leading to questions and speculation regarding his participation in one of WWE’s marquee events. Brock Lesnar is also not advertised.
WWE officially announced the 37th Royal Rumble, scheduled for January 27th, 2024, to be held at Tropicana Field in Tampa, Florida. Despite the promotional material featuring several prominent WWE superstars, Reigns’ name was noticeably absent from the early poster for the event.
The poster showcased various champions and notable figures, including World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley, Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions Finn Balor & Damian Priest, US Champion Rey Mysterio, NXT Women’s Champion Becky Lynch, Bianca Belair, Charlotte Flair, Women’s Champion IYO SKY, Cody Rhodes, Asuka, LA Knight, and others.
Reigns has been operating on a reduced schedule since signing a new WWE contract the previous year. His most recent match occurred at SummerSlam, and he did not participate in Payback. Furthermore, he is not slated to compete at Fastlane the following month. However, he is advertised for Survivor Series.
While it is possible that Reigns could be added to the Royal Rumble event at a later date, his initial absence from the promotional material has ignited speculation about whether he will be part of the show. WWE fans and wrestling enthusiasts will likely be eager to see if Reigns’ status for the Royal Rumble changes in the coming months.
