According to Mediaite, former President Donald Trump has renewed his criticism of Forbes magazine and one of its reporters, Dan Alexander, who has extensively covered his financial situation. In a post on TruthSocial, Trump demanded a full apology from Forbes and Alexander, alleging that they have published numerous false and libelous articles about him. Trump also accused Forbes of cooperating with the Attorney General of New York, Letitia James, whom he referred to as “Peekaboo James,” and labeled as “Racist and Incompetent.”
Furthermore, Trump claimed that Forbes is owned by the Communist Chinese Government and accused the magazine of being a propaganda tool against him and the “MAGA” (Make America Great Again) movement. He characterized Forbes as a “Globalist ‘Rag'” that aims to undermine his efforts to “MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN.”
These allegations and attacks on Forbes are not new, as Trump has previously targeted the magazine, particularly after they removed him from their list of the 400 wealthiest people in America. The story written by Dan Alexander had attributed Trump’s declining net worth to financial losses associated with his office buildings, the decrease in value of his social media platform Truth Social, and his legal issues.
Dan Alexander’s reporting has been critical of Trump’s financial claims and disclosures over the years, including allegations that Trump inflated his assets to gain favorable treatment from financial institutions. Currently, Trump is facing a $250 million civil business fraud trial related to these allegations.
