TMZ reports that Matthew Perry died at 54 today of an apparent drowning at his LA area home in a jacuzzi. Former TNA Wrestling owner Dixie Carter said she is ‘heartbroken.’ Former WWE star Cassie Lee posted a heartbroken emoji reaction. Perry posted a picture of his pool days before drowning, as seen below.
TMZ reports, “Law enforcement sources tell us the actor was found Saturday at an L.A.-area home … where we’re told he appears to have drowned. Our sources say first-responders rushed over on a call for cardiac arrest. It’s unclear where exactly on the grounds this happened.
Our sources say he was found in a jacuzzi at the home … and we’re told there were no drugs found at the scene. We’re also told there is no foul play involved.”
Perry was iconic for his role as Chandler Bing on Friends, and also for starring in The Whole Nine Yards.
A fan posted on Reddit, “My neighbor died in her jacuzzi after suffering a heart attack. She was in it alone, her husband was inside the house doing something, went out to check on her because she was out longer than expected, when he found her it was too late to save her. She drowned after slipping unconscious. She was in her mid 50s, it was very unexpected.”
