Ivanka Trump ‘To Rat Out’ Dad In Court Room?

During a recent segment of MSNBC’s “Inside With Jen Psaki,” host Jen Psaki and George Conway, an anti-Trump attorney, found themselves chuckling at the notion of former President Donald Trump’s adult children testifying against him in court. Conway even went so far as to speculate that they might incriminate their own father.

The ongoing fraud case, spearheaded by New York Attorney General Letitia James and overseen by Judge Arthur Engoron, has put Trump and his business dealings under intense scrutiny. In a recent ruling, the judge mandated that former First Daughter Ivanka Trump must testify in person, alongside her brothers Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr., all of whom are expected to take the stand within the next nine days.

Conway emphasized during the interview that the proceedings could deal a severe blow to Trump’s businesses. He also pointed out that in this specific case, the judge is authorized to draw negative inferences if Trump decides to invoke the Fifth Amendment. Psaki, seizing on the drama of the situation, asked Conway to speculate on what kind of testimony might emerge from the Trump children:

JEN PSAKI: So as he’s kind of watching his children testify here, what is he on edge, that he’s worried about hearing over the next couple of days?

GEORGE CONWAY: I think he’s going to be on edge. Hearing them admit that they didn’t have a basis for things or saying that “Daddy told me to do it!”.

That’s what I would I would be worried about if I were him. But I don’t know why. I don’t know what they’re going to say. That’s that’s what you know–

JEN PSAKI: (laughs) It’s wildly interesting to watch!

GEORGE CONWAY: –to watch.

JEN PSAKI: So this won’t surprise you, I’m sure. But he’s been fundraising off. Of course, he’s been fundraising off of the 14th Amendment challenge to his candidacy in Colorado. He can make it up sometimes, but there’s really no consequences to that. I mean, should there be? Could there be?

GEORGE CONWAY: What do you mean, consequences?

JEN PSAKI: I don’t know that he’s fundraising off of these legal cases against him?

GEORGE CONWAY: Actually, I think there should have been consequences, and there may yet still be consequences for the fund raising he did during the interregnum when he was you know, when he was claiming that the election was rigged and saying that and trying to hold on to office. And he was saying he needed all this money to do it. He was raising all this money for legal challenges.

Of course, it’s hard to spend $250 million, is what he raised in 2020, early 2021, on legal fees. I mean, and then he didn’t. And those fees being used for those those, that money has been used for other purposes. So, you know, the question really is, is is is what are they saying to the potential marks? I will call them who, to send in their money? Are they lying to them, if that’s all that that’s I think that’s fraud.

JEN PSAKI: Well, it sounds like we have a lot to watch in this case. You don’t even know what the children are going to say (laughs). So thank you so much for coming in.
