Former President Donald Trump’s 2024 campaign recently responded to allegations from former Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) that the GOP leader has a distinct odor via Mediaite.
Kinzinger, who opposed Trump before and after he left office, took to his X account earlier this week to encourage those close to the former president to “wear a mask.”
“I’m genuinely surprised how people close to Trump haven’t talked about the odor,” Kinzinger wrote. “It’s truly something to behold. Wear a mask if you can.”
Kinzinger’s accusation went viral on social media and led to many users mocking the former president for his odor.
It has been noted that on Thursday, The Independent received a response from the Trump campaign slamming Kinzinger for being an “unemployed fraud.”
“Adam Kinzinger farted on live TV and is an unemployed fraud,” a Trump spokesperson told the outlet. “He has disgraced his country and disrespects everyone around him because he is a sad individual who is mad about how his miserable life has turned out.”
Other public figures have also claimed that Trump has a distinct smell. In November, Comedian Kathy Griffin said during an interview Mary Trump that the former president smells “like body odor with kind of like scented makeup products.”
