Fox News host Harris Faulkner recently questioned that President Joe Biden’s mental acuity after he claimed former President Donald Trump is an insurrectionist for the events on January 6th, 2021 via Mediaite.
It has been noted that the president was asked Wednesday morning for his thoughts on the decision by Colorado’s Supreme Court to remove Trump from the 2024 ballot, but he refused to comment noting it was “up to the courts.” However, when asked if he thought Trump was an insurrectionist, Biden responded it was “certainly self-evident” based on the events of January 6th, 2021.
Faulkner called into question Biden’s mental state, claiming she knows people over the age of 100 “who have it together far more than the president.” The Fox News anchor also said Trump should not be labeled an insurrectionist because the Republican frontrunner has not been formally charged over January 6th.
“He first says on the tarmac just then, “Oh, this is an open case, I can’t talk about it.” And then walks over to make sure he’s heard in front of a whole bank of microphones and calls the former presidential an insurrectionist. I mean, we ought to really, really be questioning his acuity now. And please separate it from 81, because I know some 100 year old people who have it together far more than the president does. He’s under a lot of work stress. I get it. But he handed them yet another gift.
On the right, should they take it? And that is to say that you’ve got an entire establishment president down that has already decided a case for which the president formally, Donald Trump, has not been charged. He has not been charged in the January six, 2021 allegations. So let’s see how it’s going to shake out.”
In a 4-3 decision on Tuesday, Colorado’s Supreme Court ruled that Trump should be disqualified from running for office based on his actions January 6th, citing the 14 Amendment.
