Pro-Trump conspiracy theorist Laura Loomer criticized the New York Post for covering a recent poll that was unfavorable to Donald Trump. Loomer accused Rupert Murdoch, the owner of the New York Post, of wanting to “make Trump a non-person” and dismissed the publication’s credibility. She referred to the New York Post as the “New York Compost.”
The New York Post and Murdoch’s Fox News have been credited with supporting Trump’s 2016 presidential victory. The Post has also been a promoter of unproven allegations of corruption against President Joe Biden.
Loomer’s criticism came in response to the Post’s coverage of a YouGov poll indicating that a majority of Americans support the Colorado Supreme Court’s decision to remove Trump from the state’s presidential ballot. The poll showed 54% of respondents approving of the court’s ruling, while 35% disapproved.
Despite Loomer’s conspiracy theories, she has gained prominence in Trump’s circles, with Trump himself sharing her social media posts. Donald Trump Jr. even suggested that she would be a great White House press secretary if his father returned to the presidency.
