WWE Hall of Famer Afa the Wild Samoan (Afa Anoa’i) is not doing well at this time. The WWE Hall of Famer was admitted in the hospital due to pneumonia, but he suffered a mild heart attack upon arrival. He suffered another small heart attack during his stay. Afa’s Facebook page has provided an update on his condition.
The update doesn’t put him in a great condition, but it is still better then his previous situation. According to Ringside News, the update reads, “Update on Afa the Wild Samoan, affectionately known as Pops: Afa was admitted to the hospital last night with pneumonia, but had a mild heart attack upon arrival. Today, he had a second small heart attack and was sent for a heart catheterization. He is doing ok, his spirits are high. He isn’t out of the woods yet, but will be kept in the hospital for a day or two for observation and monitoring. He thanks everyone for their concern, continued love, and prayers.”

Afa underwent two exploratory heart procedures in December. These procedures were performed to assess his valves. The procedure indicated that he needs a valve replacement. He had to go for a follow-up appointment on December 20 to discuss the next steps. The condition worsened and this led to him cancelling his wrestling seminar at WXW Wrestling promotion. The seminar was scheduled for January 13 in Minneola, Florida.
Afa alongwith his tag team partner Sika got inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2007. The legendary tag team had a great impact on the tag team division. We at Wrestling Edge send our wishes for a speedy recovery to the WWE Hall of Famer and hope he is out of the hospital soon.
