The highly anticipated New Hampshire primary concluded just over an hour after the polls closed, declaring Trump the victor with a seemingly convincing, high single-digit or low double-digit lead.
However, shortly after the victory announcement, Haley delivered a speech that sounded remarkably like a triumph, despite her not-so-close second position to Trump.
Trump’s Reaction to the Truth Social
Trump, active on his Truth Social platform both before and after the victory call, posted moments before the official declaration, stating, “Wow! We are performing admirably despite the influx of Biden votes supporting Haley!!!”
As the victory was being declared, Trump contradicted Haley’s assertion of needing to win in New Hampshire, emphatically stating, “Haley said she had to emerge triumphant in New Hampshire. SHE FELL SHORT!!!”
During Haley’s speech, Trump inundated social media with a series of posts, maintaining a lead of approximately 12 points.
Following the race’s official conclusion, Trump granted an exclusive interview to Fox News Digital, expressing his “honoring” of the outcome and his eagerness to challenge what he deemed “the most inept president in our country’s history.”
When asked about Haley potentially suspending her campaign, Trump remarked, “I’m uncertain, but she ought to. She ought to cease, for otherwise, we are compelled to squander resources instead of allocating them towards challenging Biden.”
Trump, speaking to Fox News Digital about Haley, commented, “The party remains remarkably cohesive, except for her.” He reiterated, “Our party stands united, eagerly anticipating the showdown against the most inept president in our country’s history.”
