In the wake of these allegations against McMahon, AEW President Tony Khan has opted not to comment on the matter.

The sexual trafficking and misconduct allegations against Vince McMahon stem from a lawsuit filed by Janel Grant. Grant asserts that McMahon distributed explicit content of her without consent, implicating not only other WWE personnel but also undisclosed executives and wrestling stars.

The safety of individuals in professional wrestling, particularly women, has long been a significant concern in a sport where women have historically been objectified and degraded on national television.

When questioned about the safety measures AEW has implemented, particularly in light of the allegations against WWE, Tony Khan refrained from directly commenting on the WWE situation. However, he underscored AEW’s commitment to fostering a secure locker room environment for everyone, regardless of gender.

Khan, in a conversation with Amy Kaplan of Fansided, expressed, “I can’t comment on the terrible allegations against WWE right now. That’s something people are paying a lot of attention to right now, with good reason. For us, first and foremost, [we’re] trying to create a safe locker room environment for everybody, women and men, and we have a really good bond.”

The AEW president highlighted the strong camaraderie within their locker room and emphasized the support system in place, with various channels for communication. According to Khan, creating a safe and positive workspace is crucial, and having individuals who will listen is vital in any workplace.

“There are a lot of channels, and I think everybody feels very good about having a safe place and a safe workspace, and there are people you can talk to. There are people in the office, but even on the wrestling side. For us, I think that’s the most important thing in any office of any workplace, is just having a lot of people that will listen and will want to make the company a safe and good place to work.”
