Fox Host Defends Biden After Impeachment Bombshell

The set of Fox & Friends have continued to offer a fascinating insight into tensions within the Republican party, particularly regarding the House GOP’s impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden via Mediaite.

It has been noted that things got slightly heated on the Fox News morning show Wednesday morning, just hours before Hunter Biden is planning to participate in a closed-door testimony. At issue is any evidence supporting the “high crimes and misdemeanors” to justify an impeachment.

Steve Doocy insisted that many Republicans have said publicly and told him privately that there just isn’t any evidence. Brian Kilmeade did not appreciate that take, interrupting to skeptically challenge his co-host with “What Republicans?!”

“So this is coming at a critical moment for the Republicans impeachment inquiry,” Doocy said of the Hunter Biden testimony. “And on Capitol Hill, a lot of Republican lawmakers say they have seen zero evidence of high crimes and misdemeanors. And right now, the Republicans do not have enough votes to impeach. And after dozens of interviews and over 100,000 documents released to the committees, the Republicans have yet to produce any direct evidence of misconduct by Joe Biden.”

“But man, this looks absolutely terrible,” Kilmeade interjected. “One hundred fifty suspicious activity reports around them. Joe Biden was in on meetings with every major deal regarding Hunter Biden. He said, my dad is sitting next to me while talking to a Chinese CFC official.”

“Many phone calls!” Ainsley Earhardt jumped into the fray to take the side of Kilmeade. “There’s a $200,000 check that was paid to Biden. Then you’ve got an inexperienced Hunter Biden who admitted that to ABC in an interview, he said, yeah, shouldn’t have real I don’t really have any experience in this. Then why are you on the board?”

The $200,000 check appears to be a repayment of a personal loan from James Biden to his brother Joe.

Kilmeade continued to litigate all the reasons why he believes Joe Biden is guilty of some level of corruption, to which Earhardt chimed in “I think there IS evidence!” Thing things got a bit spirited:

Doocy Well, yeah, I think there are many lawmakers who say they’ve seen zero evidence of high crimes and misdemeanors.

Kilmeade: But we just said that they have.

Doocy: But they’ve …. to impeach somebody you need direct evidence of misconduct by Joe Biden. Look, Hunter Biden, it sure looks like he traded on his name and he’s going to have plenty of time today

Kilmeade: (Interrupting) With is dad … the role his dad played is key.

Doocy: Pardon me Brian. We’re going to have plenty of time, the Republicans are, to ask him a million questions. It will be interesting to hear what he has to say. But right now, you know, according to Republicans, there’s no.

Kilmeade: What Republicans?!

Doocy: Some Republicans say they’ve got the goods on Hunter Biden and Joe Biden. But a number of Republicans who I’ve spoken to on Capitol Hill say there’s no direct evidence of misconduct by the current president.

Earhardt: It’s just so corrupt.

Kilmeade: This is so unbelievable.

Earhardt: And how does Joe Biden have these multimillion dollar houses? We know what he makes. How does he have I mean, he had to have gotten money somewhere.

Kilmeade: I think Comer’s done a great job with very reluctant witnesses. And Tony Bobulinski and then also the business partner who is in jail where Devon Archer is heading. If you worked with Hunter Biden, you’re either dead, missing or jailed. And that’s where he could be heading next.

Doocy: So Hunter Biden in the hot seat less than three hours from right now. We’ll bring you as soon as he goes into the building.

Republican Congresswoman Lisa McClain told Maria Bartiromo that they had no evidence in the impeachment inquiry in late November of 2023.
