According to multiple sources, party officials have given their endorsement to Trump’s carefully chosen individuals for key leadership roles, marking a significant development in Trump’s continued sway over the GOP.
One notable appointment is that of Michael Whatley, a North Carolina Republican who has been a vocal supporter of Trump’s assertions regarding voter fraud. Whatley is set to assume the position of the party’s new national chairman, with the vote for his appointment taking place on a Friday morning session in Houston.
In addition to Whatley’s ascent, Lara Trump, the daughter-in-law of the former president, has been anointed as the co-chair of the RNC.
