Former President Donald Trump recently ranted at coverage and mockery of his extended rally speech pause and claimed that it was deliberately done and lashing out at claims he “froze” via Mediaite.
It has been noted that Trump gave a speech at the National Rifle Association Convention on Saturday in Dallas, Texas. He drew attention with an extended pause during the QAnon trance chunk of his speech that many critics characterized as “freezing” or “glitching.”
It came at the beginning of a musical interlude that has been featured at Trump rallies on and off for over two years now. The Trump campaign had claimed in a statement that this was deliberate.
“It was clearly a strong dramatic effect, which has occurred previously because when any American reflects upon the disastrous Biden presidency, they can’t help but be concerned about the direction of the country,” said Trump campaign spokesman Steven Cheung.
Late Sunday night, the derision got to Trump, and he posted a message lashing out at the coverage and attacking President Joe Biden:
My Speech in Dallas this weekend at the NRA’s “Endorsement of President Donald J. Trump,” was attended by a Record Crowd of very enthusiastic Patriots. The Biden Campaign, however, put out a Fake Story that I “froze” for 30 seconds, going into the “Musical Interlude” section, when in actuality, the 30 to 60 second period of silence is standard in every one of my Speeches where we use the Music. Check out any of my Speeches! The reason they came up with this Disinformation is that Biden freezes all the time, can’t put two sentences together, and can rarely find his way off the stage without help. Donald Trump doesn’t freeze! It is a MADE UP Biden Campaign story, put out in a dying Newspaper that I never heard of, and every Reporter knows it, including the large group that was there….
President Biden has not “frozen” for 35 seconds during a campaign speech. In a March rally in North Carolina, the pause lasted 47 seconds. However, in that case, the silence was filled with cries and chants from the crowd. Often the pause will be peppered with shouts of support for QAnon and the January 6 rioters.
Trump also lashed out at people who mocked him for a moment at a Minnesota rally involving a shaky podium, calling it an example of his physical prowess:

The Biden-Harris campaign had put out a post days earlier calling Trump out for criticizing the “crappy” contractor who set up the event:
