Trump Admits To ‘Error’ During Trial Meltdown

Former President Donald Trump recently kicked off his Memorial Day weekend by typing an all-caps rant about a piece of evidence from his New York hush money trial via Mediaite.

It has been noted that The Republican nominee is currently being prosecuted in Manhattan where he faces criminal charges for allegedly falsifying business documents regarding hush money payments during the 2016 election season. He also faces three other criminal indictments for his attempts to overturn the election and his handling of classified material.

Trump has faced accusations of making the hush money payments by paying his former attorney Michael Cohen under the guise of a “legal expense” when in reality it was allegedly used to pay off adult film actress Stormy Daniels.

The former president took to Truth Social on Friday, claiming that the evidence used against him at trial was a “bookkeeping error.” He also continued to claim that the New York case against was a “Biden inspired election interference hoax.”

“The bookkeeping error that I am being incorrectly and unconstitutionally prosecuted for is the fact that a bookkeeper, innocently and correctly, called a ‘Legal Expense’ paid to a lawyer, a ‘Legal Expense,’” Trump wrote to his fans on the social media platform.

He added, “IN EVEN SIMPLER WORDS, I CALLED A LEGAL EXPENSE, A LEGAL EXPENSE. WHAT THE HELL ELSE WOULD YOU CALL IT? A BIDEN INSPIRED ELECTION INTERFERENCE HOAX!!!”

Trump is charged with 34 felony counts of falsifying business records regarding the reimbursements checks he gave to Cohen for the amount of $130,000 given to Daniels to cover up their alleged affair. He has pleaded not guilty to the criminal charges and denies ever having an affair with Daniels.
