Jill Biden Melts Down With Whoopi Goldberg

First Lady Jill Biden made headlines during her appearance on The View on Wednesday, where she discussed the high stakes of the upcoming presidential election and promoted her new book, Willow the White House Cat. Expressing concern about the potential consequences of another conservative Supreme Court appointment, she asserted that citizens could “lose all of our rights” under such circumstances.

Amidst President Joe Biden trailing behind Donald Trump in recent swing state polls, Jill Biden confidently predicted a turnaround in her husband’s favor. She framed the choice between Joe Biden and Trump as a stark contrast between “good and evil.”

“Those polls are going to turn. I’m confident of it because as time goes on and as people start to focus a little bit more about what’s at stake and start to become educated on the issues and the differences between the two men, I believe Americans are going to choose good over evil,” she stated.

The first lady also warned of the potential dangers of Trump appointing another conservative justice to the Supreme Court, highlighting the impact of previous appointments by Trump—Neil Gorsuch, Amy Coney Barrett, and Brett Kavanaugh—and the subsequent overturning of Roe v. Wade in 2022.

“We cannot take things for granted… and think of the Supreme Court for God’s sake. Talk about things getting worse? Can you imagine if we put any more Republicans on the Supreme Court? No!” she exclaimed, receiving quick agreement from View co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg and Sunny Hostin. “We will lose all of our rights.”

Describing the upcoming election as a choice between “democracy and chaos,” Jill Biden praised her husband’s calm, steady leadership and contrasted it with what she characterized as the chaotic nature of the alternative.

“We have a choice. We can have my husband, who is calm and steady and strong and has character and integrity, or we have the other choice, which is chaotic,” she said. “We have to decide. Democracy or chaos.”
