Controversial hip hop star Sean “Diddy” Combs has recently faced criminal charges as federal investigators are gearing up to bring the disgraced music mogul accusers before a grand jury via The Express.
It is noted that the US Justice Department is moving towards potentially seeking an indictment of Diddy as plaintiffs have been notified that they could be called in to testify against the rapper.
CNN has reported that the potential witnesses have not yet been prepped to testify for the prosecution. They claimed that the Homeland Security investigators are reportedly still gathering evidence in the case and want the indictment to be “bulletproof.”
However, this would mark a significant escalation for the producer who was named in eight civil lawsuits since November 2023, with seven accusing him of sexual assault and human trafficking.
One of eight of the lawsuits were filed by Diddy’s ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura and has since been settled for an undisclosed amount. Meanwhile, another lawsuit named his son Christian Combs of sexual assault, with Diddy accused of aiding and abetting.
Although Cassie’s was settled one day after it was filmed, the case opened for several more, alongside scrutiny and an examination into his past. This also came with a federal criminal sex trafficking investigation that led authorities to raid Diddy’s mansions in Los Angeles and Miami.
In February, a music producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones filed a lawsuit alleging Diddy coerced him to solicit prostitutes and pressured him to have sex with them. The lawsuit gives a long list of potentially illegal activities dealing with drugs and sex that the producer says he witnessed.
