The office of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, who has received backing from Soros, is facing scrutiny for allegedly leaking sensitive sentencing information about former President Donald Trump to the far-left media.
Following a trial widely criticized as a sham, where Trump was convicted on all 34 felony charges related to a ‘hush money’ scandal, sources suggest that DA Bragg’s office may recommend Trump serve a year at the notorious Rikers Island.
During the trial, Judge Merchan instructed jurors that they did not need to agree on a specific crime but merely that something improper occurred. This departure from established legal practice has sparked widespread concern over the trial’s fairness and constitutionality, with many viewing it as a significant miscarriage of justice.
Now, co-host of ‘The View,’ Sunny Hostin, has shared on-air discussions she had with someone from Bragg’s office, describing them as ‘street fighters.’ Hostin suggested that Bragg might advocate for a harsh one-year imprisonment to ensure Trump experiences the harsh conditions of Rikers Island.
Hostin framed this potential recommendation not only as a form of punishment but also as a stern warning to society against similar conduct in the future. She emphasized the message such a sentence would send about respecting institutions and upholding the rule of law.
Additionally, Hostin mentioned the possibility of a six-month split sentence, with six months served at Rikers followed by a period of probation under New York law.
