Harris Attacks Trump After He Cheated On Melania

During her appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” Vice President Kamala Harris took the opportunity to comment on former President Donald Trump’s recent conviction. When asked about the mood among those she watched the verdict with, Harris avoided directly answering and instead highlighted the deliberation process, ultimately stating, “the reality is, cheaters don’t like getting caught.”

Harris, formerly the District Attorney of San Francisco, emphasized the legitimacy of the judicial process, mentioning that a jury of 12 peers deliberated for six weeks before finding Trump guilty on 34 felony counts related to a scheme to pay off Stormy Daniels during his 2016 presidential campaign. Harris underscored that the trial included active participation from defense attorneys in jury selection and witness examination.

During the interview, Harris and Kimmel discussed various issues, including Trump’s claims that the justice system is weaponized by the Biden administration. Kimmel pointed out that Hunter Biden, President Biden’s son, is currently on trial for gun charges, questioning why Biden would not intervene if he had control over the justice system. This prompted Harris to label Trump a “hypocrite,” who applies double standards.

Harris also responded to Kimmel’s humorous and probing questions on lighter topics, such as whether she had ever been bitten by Biden’s dogs or if she had requested information about UFOs. The interview mixed serious commentary on Trump’s legal troubles with lighter banter about current events and pop culture.

Kimmel, known for his critical stance on Trump, especially regarding the former president’s attempts to repeal the Affordable Care Act, also joked about Trump, emphasizing his hypocrisy. Towards the end of the interview, Harris addressed concerns about Trump’s potential return to power, warning that he has expressed intentions to weaponize the Department of Justice against his political enemies and admires authoritarian leaders.
