Matt Riddle Suffers Painful Car Accident

Former WWE star Matt Riddle was recently involved in an accident and it seems that he won’t be able to compete in his scheduled indie matches this weekend.

‘The Original Bro’ was planned to be in action for Northeast Wrestling in Connecticut on Friday and for North Shore Pro Wrestling in Quebec on Saturday. However, he posted a tweet revealing that he won’t be able to make it to either show. Riddle divulged that his Uber got into an accident on the way to the airport. He says he has a concussion and some bumps and bruises from the accident but is going to be ok.

“Just wanted to share with everyone that I won’t be making tonight’s show or tomorrow’s show, unfortunately on my way to the airport my Uber got into an accident and I had to go to the hospital and get checked out,” he wrote. “I have a concussion, bumps and bruises but I’ll be fine #seatbelt”

Riddle was slated to face Brad Hollister at Northeast Wrestling’s Over the Top event in Woodbridge, Connecticut tonight. Meanwhile, a match between Riddle and Zak Patterson was set for Saturday’s North Shore Pro Wrestling Golden Opportunity show in Quebec City, Canada.

Riddle recently won MLW Battle Riot VI and it earned him a future shot at MLW World Heavyweight Champion Satoshi Kojima.

It was back in September last year that Riddle was released by WWE following an incident that took place at JFK Airport in New York City. His release occurred during a round of roster cuts that were made after WWE was officially acquired by Endeavor.
