Jim Ross Drops Shane McMahon AEW Bombshell

Jim Ross discussed the possibility of Shane McMahon joining AEW on his podcast, “Grilling JR,” acknowledging that while it might seem unlikely, it could potentially work out well depending on the circumstances.

Shane McMahon, known for his occasional dramatic returns to WWE, last appeared at WrestleMania 39, where he sustained a torn quad during his match against The Miz. Since then, he has been absent from WWE television, leading to speculation about his future in wrestling. Despite this, fans continue to anticipate his potential comeback to the industry.

During the podcast episode, Ross responded to Conrad Thompson’s remark that Shane McMahon joining AEW would be “crazy” by suggesting that such an unexpected move could indeed succeed if handled correctly.

“Yeah, it would. It’s so crazy that it might work, depending on how it was positioned and how it was introduced,” Ross commented. He mentioned that Shane had recently reached out to him a few times, showing sensitivity in their communications. However, Ross emphasized that the decision ultimately rests with Shane McMahon himself.

Ross also pondered on the creative dynamics between Shane McMahon and Tony Khan, AEW’s founder and president, highlighting the potential for fruitful collaboration if Shane were to join the promotion.

“Might be great,” Ross mused. “But in any event, that all depends on Shane and what he wants to do.”
