Justin Timberlake reportedly ordered a Vesper Martini before his recent arrest for alleged drunk driving in the Hamptons. According to sources, the 43-year-old singer chose the cocktail at the American Hotel in Sag Harbor on Tuesday, where it’s described as a potent mixture of Grey Goose vodka, Tanqueray gin, Lillet Blanc, and a lemon twist—completely devoid of mixers.
The Vesper Martini is renowned for its strong alcoholic content, typically containing about 4 ounces of liquor, making it significantly potent compared to other cocktails. It gained fame from Ian Fleming’s 1953 novel “Casino Royale,” where James Bond famously orders the drink with precise instructions.
It’s safe to say that the level of alcohol in this martini is equivalent to a double of just about any other cocktail,” Moody Mixologist wrote.
Timberlake, who allegedly stated to police that he had consumed only one martini before being pulled over for traffic violations, refused a breathalyzer test and reportedly failed a field sobriety test. Despite pleading not guilty to the DUI charge, Timberlake faces potential consequences including a fine, license suspension, or in extreme cases, jail time.
