After facing criticism from members of his own party regarding his performance in the recent debate, Joe Biden affirmed his determination to win North Carolina in the November elections. Speaking at a rally in the state, Biden addressed supporters and dispelled rumors about his potential withdrawal from the race.
“Thanks to all the state and local leaders here today, and to the great musicians and entertainers who performed earlier. Folks, let me tell you why I’m here in North Carolina. I’m here for one reason… Because I intend to win the state in November,” Biden exclaimed enthusiastically to his cheering supporters.
Despite a brief coughing fit during his speech, which his campaign attributed to a cold, Biden remained resolute. He outlined his campaign’s priorities, emphasizing his commitment to issues like protecting women’s rights, restoring Roe v. Wade, defending voting rights, and supporting Medicare, Social Security, childcare, paid leave, elder care, and reducing prescription drug costs.
Real Clear Politics reports that Biden currently trails Trump by an average of 6.7% in North Carolina, a pivotal swing state in the upcoming election.
