Kickoff Match: Ryback and Curtis Axel vs Cody Rhodes and Goldust
JT: I’m sure this will be fast paced and fun to get the crowd hot. Rhodes and Goldust should go over here unless WWE plans on splitting them up. For the record, I still see them working a one on one match at WrestleMania. As for Ryback and Axel, WWE will find a way to keep them relevant(or should if they’re smart about Axel’s in ring ability).
Darren Young vs Titus O’Neil
JT: I was much higher on Young while these guys were in NXT, but O’Neils charisma is just too impressive not to push the guy. I don’t see Young coming out on top here as it looks like WWE has plans in place for the bigger man. If by some chance Young can get the “upset” victory, I see O’Neil beating him down after the match.
WWE Tag Team Championship: The New Age Outlaws vs The Usos
JT: As much as I want to see the Usos get the gold, I don’t expect WWE to take the titles off the Outlaws this soon; I expect them to be working WrestleMania as the champions. This should be another solid outing from both teams with the Outlaws finding a way to make the Usos come up short. WrestleMania should really be the place for the Usos to capture the gold; they’ve earned that spot.
Intercontinental Championship: Big E. vs Jack Swagger
JT: I know these two have had a match recently, but I’m curious to see what they put together for a title match. That belt needs to have more meaning, and the only way to make that to start happening is for these guys to give us a great match that we might remember. Anyone remember Drew McIntyre vs Kane for the IC TItle a few years ago? Yeah, me neither.
Alberto Del Rio vs Batista
JT: Batista wins. I have no idea what sort of chemistry these two will have, but I hope they put together something memorable so this doesn’t come across as just a dominant Batista win. As for Del Rio, I don’t see anything big happening in his future as WWE appears to be just stringing him along.
The Wyatt Family vs The Shield
JT: THIS is the new generation of WWE superstars in one match, and it should be downright incredible. Considering Harper and Rollins came up in Ring of Honor, Ambrose in the indies, and the other three being WWE performance center/NXT trainees, it’s a nice telling tale that you can come from just about any background and still make it to the big time. I expect the Wyatts to go over here for two reasons. 1. Bray Wyatt is working with John Cena(most likely) at WrestleMania, and 2. The Shield is heading towards a huge split and this loss will just add to their problems.
Elimination Chamber: WWE World Champion Randy Orton vs Christian vs Cesaro vs John Cena vs Sheamus vs Daniel Bryan
JT: I love all the talent in this match. I honestly think it could be one of the best pure wrestling chamber matches we’ve ever seen. I don’t think there will be a surprise winner at all. Orton is going to defend his WWE World TItle against Batista at WrestleMania and we all need to deal with it. Should be a great finish to a solid card though! Just imagine the boos from the crowd when Daniel Bryan is eliminated from the match…
The chamber card on paper looks pretty darn great. I hope it delivers in a big way to get us all excited for WrestleMania 30!
