AEW Dynamite defeats NXT in viewership

This week’s AEW Dynamite was the second night of the New Year’s Smash special. WWE NXT also aired an episode that further built storylines. It seems AEW fared better this week.

According to a report by Showbuzz Daily, AEW garnered 762,000 viewers with a .30 in the 18-49 demographic. WWE NXT got 551,000 viewers with a .14 in the same demographic.

This was a noticeable increased compared to last week’s episode, which managed only  662,000 viewers with a .25 rating in the 18-49 demographic. WWE NXT New Year’s Evil got 641,000 viewers with a .16 rating in the 18-49 demographic.

The week prior to that was the Brodie Lee tribute show, which brought in 977,000 viewers. Dynamite also managed a .40 rating in the 18-49 demographic. NXT managed only 586,000 viewers with a .12 rating in the same demographic.
