Murphy is unlikely to sign with AEW

AEW President Tony Khan is seemingly not signing Murphy as of now but he certainly might end up at AEW eventually. During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer brought up the fact that AEW is signing some former WWE stars. Gran Metalik’s WWE release request brought this into the conversation. When it comes to Murphy, it appears that AEW has already decided against it.

“They’ve passed on a lot of people. It looks like they passed on Murphy who is obviously a great, great wrestler.”

We’ll have to see what is next for Buddy Murphy. If he signs with Impact Wrestling, he could make appearances in AEW as they have working relationship with Impact Wrestling.
