AEW Star Rips CM Punk In Video, Gets In Real Fight

The ongoing tension between Jack Perry and CM Punk appears to have persisted without resolution. The latest development came to light during the AEW ALL IN: Zero Hour pre-show, where Jack Perry, also known as Jungle Boy, engaged in a spot on a car near the stage during the FTW Title match against HOOK. The result of the stunt was visible cuts on Perry’s body during the match.

Reports indicate that a physical altercation occurred backstage between Jack Perry and CM Punk shortly before Punk’s entrance for his match with Samoa Joe. The situation escalated to the point of a confrontation just prior to Punk’s appearance in the ring. This backstage incident seemingly adds to the existing friction between the two individuals.

During the PPV, following the glass spot involving Perry, he addressed the camera by saying, “It’s real glass, cry me a river,” which can be interpreted as a direct message aimed at CM Punk. This statement serves as a reference to an earlier disagreement between Perry and Punk. Weeks prior, Punk had advised Perry against using real glass in a backstage segment, sparking a dispute between them.

FightfulSelect.com reported, “Jack Perry approached CM Punk backstage and “stepped in his face” and “bumped” Punk. Punk was said to have then pushed Perry. Perry allegedly “came at Punk and got choked.” We haven’t heard of a particular kind of choke or who broke things up.”
