While AJ Styles is out of the current main event picture on WWE TV, the company has plans for him. It was noted on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio that WWE does have big plans for Styles. As of this writing, there’s no word yet on what those plans are.
Styles has been feuding with WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns for the title over the past few several weeks. They had a match at Payback and at this Sunday’s Extreme Rules PPV. Styles lost both matches.
On Monday’s episode of RAW, Styles split up with Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows before losing to Kevin Owens in a Money in the Bank qualifying match.
