During today’s episode of the Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez stated that one of the reasons why Brock Lesnar returned earlier than originally planned was to boost the WWE Network subscription numbers.
Alvarez went on to say that WWE’s next conference call is on July 20th and they wanted to report a higher number of subscribers. Brock Lesnar returning is expected to increase those numbers.
As we reported in the past, WWE originally had him scheduled to return for SummerSlam but was obviously brought back a lot sooner than expected.
