As we noted before the reason why Roman Reigns defeated the Miz for the Intercontinental Championship is that the A-lister is taking time off for the shooting of Marine 6.
However, the decision to put the title on Reigns has still been subject to a lot of rumors and many wonder if the company has changed their mind about the planned Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar match for WrestleMania 34.
Although Dave Meltzer revealed on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio that the plans have not changed and the Big Dog is still expected to challenge Brock for the Universal title at the Show Of Shows.
Regarding the IC title, it’s being said that the former World Champion is expected to drop the belt sometimes before WrestleMania next year in April.
No word yet on who will dethrone Reigns, but he appears to be entering a feud with Samoa Joe and it won’t be a surprise if Joe ends up snatching the title from the Shield member.
