Batista Brutally Goes After Manny Pacquiao

Batista’s final run in WWE before his retirement was against Triple H which culminated at Wrestlemania 35 a couple of years ago. One of the most popular lines during that feud saw Batista telling Triple H to give him what he wanted over and over again. Batista was also supposed to be inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame last year but due to timing issues and scheduling conflicts, it did not end up happening. WWE also paid huge money for the return of Batista.

While Dave Bautista was supposed to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2020, this did not happen due to the worldwide pandemic and due to previous obligations on Batista’s end. However, fans have been clamoring for ‘The Animal’ to get his due and to be inducted as quickly as possible.

During a recent sit-down interview with GQ, Dave Bautista talked about the meaning behind some of the tattoos he’s gotten over the years, including one he got to cover-up one inspired by Manny Pacquiao. Bautista did not mention the boxer by name, but spoke about the Team Pacquiao tattoo he had covered up in response to homophobic comments made by Pacquiao in 2016.

  1. “It used to be a team logo,” Bautista said. “I was part of a team of a person I considered a friend and someone I really looked up to. And then, he later came out publicly with some anti-gay statements and turned out to be an extreme homophobe. And so, I had a huge issue with it. It’s a personal issue with me, my mom’s a lesbian. And I just could no longer call him a friend. So, I had it covered up with this.”
