Becky Lynch remains one of the most popular female WWE Superstars in recent memory. The Man’s meteoric rise to Superstardom back in 2018 is well documented. It propelled her career to the absolute top, which culminated in her winning both the RAW and Smackdown Women’s Championships at WrestleMania 35, defeating both Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey in the main event of the Show of Shows. She is also engaged to WWE Superstar Seth Rollins and the two welcomed their baby girl Roux in December of last year. Becky Lynch’s surprise WrestleMania rumor was also leaked.
Becky Lynch and her fiance Seth Rollins spoke on a Gorilla Position live show in December 2019. Several clips from the event were finally released for fans to view on the podcast’s YouTube channel.
During the podcast, Becky Lynch revealed how she turned down an odd idea pitched by WWE creative, which would have seen her shave her head for no season, not even related to a storyline in the company.
“Oh yes, yes… No, not even [not in a WWE storyline]. This was the whole pitch that I got sent to by a writer. It was like, ‘What if Becky shaves her head?’ and that was pretty much it. It wasn’t something that I did on TV. It wasn’t I lost my hair in a match. It was just, ‘What if Becky was bald?’ I was like, ‘No!’”
Dave Meltzer just reported in Wrestling Observer, “If they add a Bayley talk segment to Mania, that would likely be Lynch’s return as the idea of her driving a big truck in at one of the two Mania shows during a Bayley talk show segment is something we were told was being planned at one point. That also explains Bayley seemingly not booked for the show after a year when she was the women’s MVP.”
