WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch is impressed with fellow WWE star Liv Morgan as she revealed ‘The Man’ spoke highly about her.
Liv Morgan reveals what Becky Lynch told her before the hiatus
‘The Man’ had been on a hiatus for a year since she made her pregnancy announcement. She returned to the ring last weekend at SummerSlam and dethroned Bianca Belair of her SmackDown Women’s Championship. On the latest edition of Friday Night SmackDown Lynch was confronted by Belair, Liv Morgan, Carmella, and Zelina Vega; as they wanted to challenge Lynch for a title match. Belair won the fatal four-way elimination contest by last pinning Morgan to earn a future Championship opportunity.
The former Riott Squad member spoke with Kayla Braxton on the latest edition of Talking Smack and said that she will not be deterred by the result and is still focused on capturing her first title in WWE.
She said:
“100%. Do you want to know a little secret? When Becky left, I gave her a hug goodbye and she whispered in my ear, ‘When I come back, you’re going to be champion.’ I’ve thought about that every single day, and she’s back and I’m not champion. But I am so, so, so looking forward to proving her right, maybe not in her timeline, but I’m going to be champion, and I’d love to take it off Becky Lynch,” Morgan said.
Liv is undefeated in her last three singles matches and is still striving for a title match.
