Sources from Sheknows have revealed that Ben Affleck maintains a healthy friendship with John Miller, who is Jennifer Garner’s boyfriend.
Despite their highly-publicized divorce in 2015, Affleck and Garner have managed to prioritize their friendship and co-parent their three children successfully. Even with new partners, they continue to maintain a strong co-parenting relationship, and their blended families seem to be thriving.
Affleck and Garner have shared public praise for one another many times since their split but, behind the scenes, Affleck is also reportedly in Miller’s corner.
“Ben is super down-to-earth, and so is John,” an insider told Us Weekly. “They have a mutual respect for each other and are always very friendly with one another.”
In 2018, Garner started dating Miller after divorcing the Air director after ten years of marriage. Miller is the Chief Executive Officer of Caliburger and the father of two kids from his previous marriage. Garner and Affleck have a son named Samuel, 11, and two daughters, Violet, 17, and Seraphina, 14. Affleck also became the stepfather of Jennifer Lopez’s 15-year-old twins, Max and Emme, after they were married in 2022.
According to the source, both couples have put a lot of effort into making “their children the focus of those relationships” and are “all mature.” A second insider told Us Weekly that Affleck and Miller supposedly grew to have “a lot of mutual admiration and respect” over time.
Though recent rumors have hinted that Affleck’s ex and his new wife have differing views on some aspects of his life, sources say Lopez and Garner have worked to remain on good terms. The stars have formed a friendship since Affleck and the Get Loud singer rekindled their romance in 2021. “Over the past year or two, they’ve definitely become close and have gotten to know each other much better,” an insider told Us in May. “Both of them are incredible mothers and always put their children’s needs first.”
